Finding Your Passion

Finding your passion.

Is your career the right career for you?

Have you been unfulfilled for so long that you now feel stuck and trapped without any clear direction of how to find something that’s right for you?

I’ve been there too and there’s nothing worse than to arrive at a place that’s supposed to make you happy but instead you feel completely worthless.

Everyone’s got a different idea of happiness but the trouble is that we hardly ever invest anytime in ourselves to figure out what happiness means to you.

So we chase everyone else’s idea of happiness and when we wind up feeling unfulfilled we think there is something wrong with us.

First things first, there’s nothing wrong with you. You just haven’t found what you are looking for.

And the reason you haven’t found what you are looking for is because you haven’t invested anytime in yourself to figure out what makes you happy.

People will tell you to get more responsibility in your work, to go and see an counsellor or to take some time off but none of this works, it’s like putting a bandaid on a broken leg.

You need to go to the source of the problem and that is that you need to find out what makes you happy. You need to find out what you like, what you don’t like, what you will steer towards and what you will steer away from.

Ultimately you need to invest time in you rather than anyone else’s ideal of happiness.

It takes guts and courage to try new things and search for what you are looking for but if you don’t look, you won’t find and Jesus summarised is perfectly when he said; “Those that seek shall find”.

In my own life journey I wound up at 25 depressed, anxious, drinking heavily and completely unfulfilled. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life but I decided I would start to look for something.

I tried everything I was interested in and built upon those things from the experiences I was having from trying everything.

4 months later I realised I was totally passionate about helping people and it was all I thought about since.

It was my first thought in the morning and the last at night, a beautiful obsession.

So I started my journey and now here I am, totally fulfilled.

Those that seek shall find. Start searching.
