There’s a lot of people out there feeling stuck …
And I’ve been there two.
Sometimes you come to a point and time in your life where you just can’t take doing what you have been doing anymore and you really want to change.
The problem is, you don’t know how to change and you are terrified of what everyone will think if you do!
It’s a vicious circle.
I want to share 3 reasons why your feeling stuck and 3 ways that help you get you moving forward again;
1️⃣ You’ve been repeating the same thing that’s making you unhappy but are expecting a different result each time.
Deep down you are already aware of what needs to change, the connection you had with people isn’t the same, the fulfilment you got from spending your weekends in the pub isn’t the same but you’re still doing it? Why?
Now that you are aware of this, plan some different ways to spend your time, do the things that you know will bring you happiness instead.
For things to change, you’ve got to change and repeating the same experiences won’t change anything.
2️⃣ You’ve got unsupportive friends. You’ve been wanting to change for a while now, you feel unhappy, stuck and unfulfilled but every time you voice how you feel to your current circle of friends they tell you that you’re fine and you continue to wind up in situations that got you feeling this way in the first place.
The problem is that your friends haven’t hit the low you’ve gotten to and it’s unlikely they will. The very reason you’re feeling the way you do is because you need grow and you can’t grow without support.
You need to find a new circle of people who will support you as you grow. Those that grow with you will go with you but you’ve got to lead by example and start making changes on your own.
3️⃣ You don’t know what else to do because you haven’t invested anytime in yourself.
The reason you’re stuck is because you don’t know what direction to move your life forward in. This is because you’ve invested most of your time in others and never in yourself.
Think about it? When has been the last time you’ve done something on your own to figure out if you liked it or not? And now that it’s been so long you’re terrified of doing anything.
You’ve got to figure out who you are and what you want for your life. Spending time on yourself will be the most valuable investment you will ever make.
When you know who you are, what you want and what you need you can steer your life in a better direction and go towards the things that add to your life rather than take something away.
