Join our free running club to get fitter, healthier, happier and more confident throughout the year.
What does the Run Club involve?
The run club involves a mixture of short fast paced runs, long slow runs and interval runs regardless of whether you are simply running for fun or wanting to get fitter and more athletic. I can also help you train for some upcoming running events throughout 2019 such as the Sydney Striders 10km (May), City2Surf 14km (August), Sydney Morning Herald 21km Half Marathon (May) and the Blackmores full Marathon in September.
Can I Join if I am unfit?
Absolutely! I want to help as many people as I can start running, your previous level of experience or fitness level wont matter whatsoever. We divide the group into different categories, each with their own pacer to set the tempo of the run for each group. Depending on whether you are starting from scratch or if you are an advanced runner will determine the category you will start in. And as you progress you will naturally advance through the categories leaving room in the slower categories for new comers as they start.
When will we train?
We currently run twice per week in Centennial Park but we are hoping to add another run on Thursdays in the near future. The time/days are stated in the timetable below.
Where do we meet?
We start every run at The Greenhouse Cafe in Centennial Park. We will start each run at the exact time stated above so above so please arrive 5 – 10 mins prior to ensure you can get some parking and find the group. The PURPLE pin on the map below is the exact location of where you will find us for each run. The easiest entrance to enter the park is from is from Darley road. Upon entering you will turn left, as the park is a one way system, and drive approximately 200 metres to find the Greenhouse Cafe.
How Much does it cost?
The run club is completely FREE and my only aim is to help bring the community together to give you and others like you something to focus on throughout the year.
How do I sign up?
